Review: Rock of a Feather Teething Jewellery

Have you ever heard of teething jewellery before? I hadn't before I was approached by Rock of a Feather, a brand who have designed jewellery with your baby in mind. Prior to Penelope I was one to wear big statement necklaces, and loved small dainty chains on a day to day basis but with little hands pulling at anything they can grab hold of, jewellery quickly became a thing of the past for me. I was thrilled to have been asked to try out a piece from Rock of a Feather. I browsed their website, which you can view here: and I was really impressed by their stylish designs.

Although I didn't get to pick my necklace I was delighted with the piece chosen for me. The Nightjar Necklace in Onyx. Most of all I was glad it was black so that it would go with pretty much any outfit choice. I tried it straight on with a red simple t-shirt and in just an instant it dressed it up a little. I didn't look so much like my typical plain Jane self.

The necklace is made from food graded silicone and satin rope. It is also very baby safe, so when wearing it your baby can teeth on it without you worrying about any harmful toxins or pieces coming away.

I love wearing my necklace its lightweight and doesn't feel like an annoyance when being worn. I find it is a great distraction for Penelope not just to help with teething but she likes to fiddle and play with it too. It's a great entertainment tool. It comes with a draw string bag to store your necklace when not in use so you can keep it clean and safe. If you want to allow your baby to put it in their mouth the last thing you want to do is get it filthy.

If you did get it messy like I have experienced when I somehow it got covered in rusk (typical) all you need to do is wash it in warm soapy water.

This particular piece is £26.00 which I feel is very fair. It's very wearable and incredibly handy. It's great to know that its baby safe, that always rings well with me. Of course your not to leave your baby unsupervised with it for obvious safety reasons.

I'd love to get a few more pieces from this brand, they do bracelets, and other necklaces of different colour ranges.
